The interesting and my favorite part about Dubai is you can travel frugally, moderately and luxuriously. Dubai is one of the most expat cities in the world, it’s ease in immigration and no taxes (in most scenarios) has made it favorable.

Budget Travel Cost to Dubai

By my estimates average cost per day (if solo) would come to about 30-35$ (or 28-32€).

Breakdown:

1. Accommodation – 60 AED / 16.5$ / 15€ at capsule hotel in Dubai. Capsule Hotel isn’t like the ones you’d see in Japan but rather a hostel and one of the few around the city.

2. Transportation – Since you chose budget, I’d assume you’d go around with public transportation. For public transportation in Dubai you’d get a Nol card with a daily pass for 20 AED / 5.45$ / 5€

3. Breakfast – You’ll find cheap breakfast options in Dubai, best are Manakeesh spots, or South Indian breakfast spots or simply from the supermarket. A Manakeesh or Manakish would cost you around 7 AED / 1.9$ / 1.75€.

4. Lunch & Dinner – In Dubai you’ll find cheap spots for lunch and dinner all around the city. In areas bur dubai, deira, karama and so on. My favorite unhealthy eat spots are cafeterias like Jabal Al Noor, seashell cafe, golden falcon cafeteria. To be honest, they all have the same menu, usually with the same supplier they tend to have the same products and similar flavors and similar pricings.
