Welcome to Easter Island 
Easter Island is an island and special territory of Chile in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeasternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle in Oceania.  Its native name is Rapa Nui. It’s famed for archaeological sites, including nearly 900 monumental statues called moai, created by inhabitants during the 13th–16th centuries.

Places to Visit

  • Rano Raraku

    Rano Raraku is a volcanic crater formed of consolidated volcanic ash, or tuff, and located on the lower slopes of Terevaka in the Rapa Nui National Park on Easter Island in Chile. 

  • Orongo

    Located at the southwestern tip of Easter Island is the stone village and ceremonial centre called Orongo. It’s known for witnessing life-threatening competitions in the history. The village is filled with stone-made houses overlooking the sea.

  • Hanga Roa

    Hanga Rao is the capital of Easter Island and the only part of the city where the most population lives. It is the main city on the island with every other site within a reachable distance
