Paseo Puente is a street that stretches across 4 blocks and crosses the city centre. The origin of the name of this street is in the great south ramp of the Cal y Canto bridge, built-in 1779, and around which numerous houses and warehouses were built that extended to the Plaza de Armas.

Santiago’s Metropolitan Cathedral
The Metropolitan Cathedral stands on the northwest corner of the Plaza de Armas, the historic heart of Santiago. The ceiling of the cathedral is unlike any other and is painted with Baroque decoration.
