Osaka is a large port city and commercial center on the Japanese island of Honshu. It's known for its modern architecture, nightlife and hearty street food. The castle is a great place to discover more about Japanese history and to wander the beautiful grounds.

Places to Visit

  • Tenjin Bridge 

    Tenjin Bridge spans the Okawa River at the eastern end of Nakanoshima Island. The bridge is said to have been constructed around 1594, but the bridge had no name and was called a new bridge. Since the bridge was under the control of Tenma-Tenjin Shrine, it was later named "Tenjin Bridge." 

  • Nakarnoshima Park 

    Nakarnoshima Park is a waterfront park nestled between Dojimagawa and Tosaborigawa rivers. With its rose garden featuring about 3,700 rose bushes and about different 310 rose species, this park has been selected one of the 100 most scenic greenery spots in Osaka in recognition of its beautiful scenery against a background of classical neighbouring buildings.

  • Osaka Castle

    With a history that dates back to almost 450 years, this castle in Osaka is one of the most eye-pleasing structures to stand. Build by a gold obsessed feudal lord, the castle is a five-story castle and On each floor inside the castle is a wide variety of artefacts detailing the extensive history of Osaka and the castle itself.
