Museum of the Future x Salt Camp Popup

2 Minutes

Salt & Museum of the Future Popup

On an odd day while meeting with a friend I stumbled on the Salt popup outside Emirates Towers while it was still not open back then they were kind enough to tell us about it and offer us one of their dishes that they were testing out. It was corn with parmesan and truffle flavouring, this meant we had to come back. This collaboration with Museum of the Future is one that stood.

The Ambience

The concept revolves around disconnecting and connecting back to nature.

At night you’ll see lights and lamps around, giving a modern camp feel.

Food at Salt Camp

Every item on the menu is uniquely curated for the pop up and only available at Salt Camp.

1) Truffle Fries – Recommended (8/10)

The fries are simple, the finish makes it pretty neat. It wasn’t spicy, although the menu says that. Again it is a recommendation in relation to fries, wouldn’t go out of the way if you aren’t keen on fries.

2) Truffle Corn (cut) – Recommend (8.2/10) – AED 42

Shredded corn with parmesan cheese and truffle flavoring. Quite a price point for a corn snack but something to try I’d say.

3) The Deserts

It’s something else with their deserts, we were just short on time and appetite to try them and something we have on our to-do for the next visit

Overall Verdict

It was an interesting experience and would opt for it as long as there’s a fair weather, we have a lot more to try and this post will continue to update with time.
